Edward Steffanni is an artist from Dayton, Ohio. He has received multiple awards and has been featured in exhibitions nationally. In his practice, he exploits imagery and materiality to explore religious themes as well as matters of identity and emptiness. He engages with these themes through painting, drawing, and sculpture.
The time at Open Wabi was an intense time of productivity while forming wonderful relationships with the fellow artists. There is an incredible creative energy that is fostered between the residents in the spaces at Open Wabi. For me, this was an important time for reflection, rest and art making.
